Graphene has completed a magnificent transformation from a "commoner" to a "noble", from flake graphite to deep processing into lithium-ion battery negative electrode materials and then to slurry. The price of graphene per ton in the market has jumped from 3000 yuan to 80000 yuan, becoming a booster for driving the development of our province's industrial economy.

At the Graphene Technology Innovation Promotion Conference held in Heilongjiang Province on the 15th, government officials and experts and scholars spoke out, seizing opportunities, accelerating the innovative development of the graphene industry, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, becoming the strong voice of the conference.

Unique advantages become a new driving force for economic transformation

Since the discovery of graphene won the Nobel Prize in 2010, it has attracted widespread attention from the international scientific community and has broad application space in various fields such as composite materials, electronic devices, energy storage batteries, aerospace, military industry, and biomedicine. And China's emphasis on the development of graphene has also risen to an unprecedented level, reaching a world-class level in terms of technology and industrialization planning and development direction.

On the 15th, it was the day when the three-year special action plan for the graphene industry in our province was launched and implemented. Li Yang, Director of the High tech Development and Industrialization Department of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, happily said, "Our province has a unique advantage in graphene raw materials, with graphite resource reserves accounting for more than 70% of the world. In addition, our province has gathered universities such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin Engineering University, and Heilongjiang University, forming more than ten graphene research and development teams with more than 200 research participants, and has reserved a batch of graphene innovation achievements that urgently need to be transformed."

Graphene is a new type of nanomaterial with the strongest thermal and electrical conductivity. In recent years, with the international mining industry entering a period of adjustment, Heilongjiang, which used to rely on coal as the economic pillar, has encountered the pain of overcapacity. With the entry of high-tech enterprises mainly based on graphite and graphene, combined with their own advantages in graphite resources, the graphite industry may become a new driving force for the economic transformation of our province.

"In order to accelerate the development of the graphene industry, our province will implement key industrialization projects, adopting a combination of 'team+enterprise+project'. Li Yang introduced that taking the graphene heat dissipation project as an example, relying on the scientific research advantages of Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin Hertz New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has completed the pilot test of graphene composite material heat dissipation fins, and the product has been tested in units such as Huawei and ZTE.". Graphene heat dissipation material is a fundamental material with a huge heat dissipation market. This three-year special action plan for the graphene industry in our province adopts two combinations: "Harbin Institute of Technology team+Hertz new materials+heat dissipation fin project" and "Harbin Institute of Technology team+Wanxin Graphite Valley+heat dissipation film project" to jointly tackle key issues and accelerate industrialization.

Targeting future markets to achieve leapfrog development

As a graphite deep processing enterprise, we must always aim for the future market and seize the opportunity. At this promotion meeting, Professor Yuan Guohui from Harbin Institute of Technology and Chief Expert of Harbin Wanxin Graphite Valley Technology Co., Ltd. said that currently, global graphene research and development is concentrated in two fields. One is thin film graphene, which is a strategic industry and an indispensable high-end product for future microelectronics. However, the maturity of thin film graphene technology is not high, and it is difficult to form industrialization. Another type is graphene conductive paste, which has an exceptionally broad market prospect. According to calculations, by 2020, with 5 million electric vehicles as the reference base, the market for graphene conductive agents alone will reach around 20 billion yuan.

Yuan Guohui optimistically stated that the domestic graphene industry market is becoming increasingly mature. With the continuous expansion of market demand, the original production line of 1000 tons per year can no longer meet the demand. Therefore, Harbin Wanxin Graphene Valley Technology Co., Ltd. has started building a production line with an annual production of 10000 tons.

Plan to build a public technology service platform

At the graphene technology innovation promotion conference in our province, government officials and experts and scholars expressed an urgent desire to build a "graphene public technology service platform".

"The common problem faced by the vast majority of graphite deep processing enterprises in our province is the lack of technical talents and research and development capabilities, and the small scale of the enterprises, the lack of high-precision testing instruments and high-level testing personnel, and the need for external public platforms to support technological innovation, product inspection, product technical services, product quality certification, and other aspects. Li Yang sighed," The research in the field of graphite new materials in our province is very active, and universities, research institutions, and innovation teams from the public urgently need professional high-end testing conditions to support. The results of research and development need to be piloted, industrialized research, and even product incubation. If there is support from public technology service platforms, the speed and proportion of scientific and technological achievements will be greatly improved. ".

Our province has a solid foundation in building a "graphene public technology service platform". It is reported that in July 2011, the provincial government and the Chinese Academy of Engineering jointly organized the "Academician Expert Longjiang Tour" Graphite Industry Development Forum, and nine academicians jointly formed the "Proposal on Establishing a National High tech Graphite Product Development, Industrialization and Trading Base (" International Graphite Valley ") in Heilongjiang Province", which was approved by the leadership of the State Council. As the political, economic, cultural, transportation, and technological center of our province, Harbin plays an extremely important role in the progress of the graphite deep processing industry in our province. In the next few years, China, which accounts for 70% of the world's graphite resources, will become an "exporting country" of high-end graphite technology and finished products, and "graphene" will also be an important part of the transformation of Heilongjiang, an energy province, in the future. It can be confirmed that in the future, graphene batteries made in China can be used normally at low temperatures of -55 ℃, allowing electric vehicles to travel over 200 kilometers on a 6-minute charge.
